About Alyse
Alyse Barclay is a former New Zealand Junior National Team and Volley Ferns representative who competed both domestically and internationally throughout her career. She attended Otumoetai College, where she earned bronze and silver medals at the NZSSC Indoor Volleyball Tournament.
Alyse continued her academic and athletic journey at Nicholls State University, competing in the NCAA Division I Southland Conference while earning a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and later completing a Master of Business Administration. She represented New Zealand on multiple international tours, including competitions in Australia, Vietnam, and the USA, serving as captain during the Junior National Team's Arizona tour.
Following her playing career, Alyse transitioned into coaching, joining the Nicholls State University coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
