About Charli

Charli Blackman has developed into a powerful outside hitter, competing at both the collegiate and international levels. A graduate of Carmel College, she was named Volleyball Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021.

Her collegiate career began at Western Nebraska Community College (NJCAA Division I, Region 9), where she helped her team win the Region 9 Championship in 2022 while earning Dean’s List honours. She later played at University of Mary (NCAA Division II, NSIC) before transferring to California State University - San Bernardino (NCAA Division II, CCAA), where she continues to compete while studying Industrial & Organisational Psychology.

On the international stage, Charli has represented Aotearoa in multiple competitions. She was part of the NZ U19 Junior Women’s Development Team, competing at the USA High-Performance Championships in Florida (2019), and is currently a member of the Volley Ferns.

Beyond playing, Charli gives back to the sport by coaching Carmel College’s junior teams and leading holiday programme clinics. With her experience at the highest levels, she continues to push her game forward while mentoring the next generation.
