About Daniel

Daniel Malcolm has emerged as a standout middle blocker, excelling at both the national and collegiate levels. A former student at Middleton Grange, he earned multiple accolades, including Canterbury Sportsman of the Year and School Sportsman of the Year in 2022.

His pathway led him to the United States, where he currently competes for Dominican University in the NCAA Division I ECC Conference while pursuing a degree in Business. His combination of size and skill continues to develop as he competes at the next level.

On the national stage, Daniel has represented Aotearoa as part of the U19 National Team and played a key role in Canterbury U19 IPC championship-winning teams in both 2022 and 2023. His performances solidified his reputation as a dominant presence at the net.
