About Eloise
Eloise van Velthooven has made her mark in New Zealand volleyball, excelling both on the court and in academics. A standout at Marlborough Girls' College, she earned selections for the NZ U17 and Senior Women's Volleyball Teams while still in high school and served as a prefect and Head of Wairau House.
Her talent took her to the United States on a volleyball scholarship to Parkland College (2016-2018), where she became an NJCAA Division II National Champion. She later transferred to Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (2018-2020) on a full academic and athletic scholarship, competing in the NCAA Division I Southland Conference while completing a degree in Exercise Science and earning multiple academic honours.
Beyond playing, Eloise has coached at Rolleston, Nayland, and Marlborough Girls' College, mentoring young athletes at regional and national levels. She has also represented teams including the NZ Senior Women’s Team, Northern Moana (NVL), Shirley Volleyball Club, and Pines Volleyball Club.
With extensive experience as both a player and coach, Eloise now works with Athletes2America, an agency dedicated to helping athletes secure scholarships and opportunities overseas. She continues to be a role model for aspiring student-athletes, balancing academic success with high-level competition.
