About Greg
Greg Vukets is a highly accomplished volleyball player and academic, balancing an elite athletic career with an impressive academic journey. A standout at Westlake Boys High School, he excelled both in the classroom and on the court, serving as Sports Captain and Senior Prefect while leading his team to a National Championship and earning MVP honours. His academic excellence was equally remarkable, as he earned the prestigious Dux award in 2016.
Greg’s talents took him to Toronto Metropolitan University, where he played at the USports level while completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During his time there, he was a four-time Academic All-Canadian, an OUA East All-Star, and recipient of the Emerging Leader Award.
Greg continued his volleyball journey with Harbour Raiders, where he became a dominant force in the New Zealand club scene, securing multiple IPC and club championships, earning MVP and tournament team selections along the way. Now pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington, Greg remains deeply involved in the sport, both as a competitor and as an assistant coach for the Harbour Raiders Women's A team, helping develop the next generation of athletes. His unique blend of academic excellence, leadership, and on-court achievements solidifies his role as a key figure in New Zealand volleyball.
