About Taylah

Taylah Holdem is a dynamic outside hitter from Christchurch – a standout at Burnside High School, she played a pivotal role in securing the NZSS Championship in 2021, where she was named Tournament MVP. She also dominated on the sand, winning back-to-back NZSS Beach Volleyball Championships in 2020 and 2021.

Her national team journey has been impressive, representing the Youth and Junior National Teams, the U20 NZ Women’s Team, and the Volley Ferns. She also competed on the international stage at the U19 Beach Volleyball World and Asian Championships, showcasing her skills against elite global competition.

Now competing at the highest collegiate level with Michigan State University in the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference, Taylah immediately made an impact, earning All-B1G Freshman First Team and All-B1G Second Team honours in 2023. Off the court, she maintains a strong academic record, making the Dean’s List every semester while pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. With her relentless work ethic and dedication, she continues to raise the bar for herself and her team.
